Thanksgiving Day, annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year.
It is a celebration of the close family and friends in our lives and the fall harvest. At its heart, the holiday holds a deep sense of gratitude. It is as it sounds, a day to “to give thanks.”

The Hebrew word Chanukah means “dedication,” and is thus named because it celebrates the rededication of the Holy Temple
Chanukah is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime “festival of lights,” celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods.
